Empower Leaders

Leadership is influence’ by John Maxwell.  By influencing others, you are a leader. 

“You are the leader that God is ready is use.  You are ready to walk into a situation or encounter people, that you are required to lead. There is an urgency that requires your leadership now.” -Pastor Billy Johnson.

Problems reveal your potential. Gideon didn’t realize he was a leader. 3 things:

1. Acknowledge your position. vs.11. Gideon was threshing wheat in a wine press. What is your condition (excuse)?
2. He asked his questions. vs 13. It is okay to ask questions but be careful who you are asking the questions to.
3. Answer your calling. vs 14. God is not obligated to answer your questions.

Gideon didn’t think he had what it takes to lead. He didn’t come from a family of leaders. You might be thinking the same thing, but His grace is sufficient – so step up. God chooses those who are the weakest. There is more in you than you know.

Like Gideon, you need to Act In Courage. 

Gideon had an encounter with God (vs 22-24). The Spirit of God came upon Gideon (vs 34). God let Gideon hear the fear that was in his enemies (Judges 7:9-11).

As a leader, tell the people you are leading “Watch me”, “follow my lead”, “do exactly as I do”, and “shout” Judges 7:17 & 18.
