Stand In God Without Wavering
(II Thessalonians 1:3-12)
(II Thessalonians 1:3-12)
Paul writes this letter to the Church of Thessalonica to address the seeds of doubt and to encourage them to stand firm in persecution; in other words, to connect Christian hope with everyday life.
Vs. 4-6 – Paul mentions tribulations a couple of times.
Just as a baby falls when trying to walk, it doesn’t stay down but eventually learns to walk.
As Christians, we grow when
1) we hear the Word.
2) we study the Word.
3) we do the Word.
In Colossians 2:6-7 we see how to be rooted in God: simply walk with Him.
Just as a tree, we want to develop deep roots in God, so that we are not easily pulled away.
“We are replenished by continually consuming His word: the Living Water.” – Gabriel Cyprian
In Isaiah 41:10, we see that God is holding us up. So there is no need for us to worry.
WE HAVE THE VICTORY!
