All of Me
(Psalms 100)
(Psalms 100)
Psalms 100 – Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
If you had to live your life all over again, what would you do differently? Some would say that they would do everything differently, while others would say they wouldn’t change anything.
In a survey with a group of 90-year-old men and women, when asked the same question replied,
In Psalm 100, we see a series of responses for certain situations in our lives. In this text there are 4 principles that we want to examine.
Worship
-Make a joyful shout
God is requiring something of else, every time He allows us to come into His presence. Consequently, we should be joyfully shouting.
The scripture says that God dwells in the praises of His people. Are we giving God praise to dwell in?
Serve
In verse 2, we see that command to “Serve the Lord with Gladness.” Now there are many reasons why we don’t serve with gladness: I have recently sinned and fallen short. But God is faithful and just to forgive your sins.
Love
We can see God’s love for us in the fact the He made me. He formed me, before I even knew me! And then we see God’s love in His redemption plan to bring us back into right relationship with Him. The bible also declares that nothing can separate you from God’s love.
Think
Where would be without God’s mercy? God’s mercy is everlasting, and thus we should be always merciful.
