The Lord Will Hear and Act When I Pray
(2 Chronicles 7:12-16)
(2 Chronicles 7:12-16)
We are called to pray. The goal of prayer is not to impress people but it’s a dialogue with God—it’s not a monologue—it’s relational. Our hearts will get to God quicker than our words. You can talk to God about anything!
“God is not overwhelmed by what overwhelms you.” – Pastor Billy Johnson
The Lord wants to hear and act when I pray because:
Solomon has just finished the temple. In verse 1, when Solomon finished praying, the glory of the Lord filled the temple.
God gave Solomon His APPROVAL – through the fire and glory
God gave Solomon His APPEARANCE – Verse 6, “then the Lord appeared to Solomon”
Humble, Pray, Seek, and Turn
We need to humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn. Retreat from the pattern—break the cycle.
Have a place where you can calm your soul and make God a priority
“You are not ready for an answer until you are ready to obey Him.” – Pastor Billy Johnson
