Sermon Notes
“You cannot have influence with people you do not have access to!”
Be accessible!
To be accessible means capable of being reached.
To be accessible means being within reach.
To be accessible means easy to speak to or deal.
Being accessible in one space may open doors of access to another space.
KJV Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
“Here am I; send me. “

What are principles?
Principles help to produce consistent results and outcomes.
Principles don’t change.
Principles work anywhere.
Principles are designed to protect the product.
Principles are not broken. When they are violated, they will break you.
The Bible sets forth many patterns and principles
“If you want to get a divine result, you must use the divine pattern”
Dr Edwin Louis Cole
The principles you build your life on, determine your outcomes, progress, behaviors and results.
Principles are called precepts.
KJV Psalms 119: 4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
KJV Psalms 119:168 I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee.
A precept is a formal statement by an authority of how people should behave.
A concept is something conceived in the mind.
A concept and a precept are related but distinct terms, often used in different contexts.
Concept:
A concept is an abstract idea or a general notion that represents a category or class of objects, events, or phenomena.
It serves as a mental representation that helps us understand and categorize experiences.
Concepts can be broad (like “freedom” or “justice”) or specific (like “triangle” or “photosynthesis”).
They are foundational to fields like philosophy, science, and psychology, as they help structure our understanding of the world.
Precept:
A precept, on the other hand, is a rule or principle intended to guide behavior or action.
Precepts serve as a directive or a guideline, often with moral or ethical implications.
Precepts are commonly found in religious, legal, or educational contexts, and they are meant to inform individuals about how they should act or conduct themselves.
For example, “Do not steal” or “Treat others as you would like to be treated” are precepts.
In summary, while a concept is an abstract idea that helps us understand broader categories, a precept is a specific guideline or rule that directs behavior.

The principle of access:
Access is granted by relationship: The book of Ruth 2 the field
KJV Ruth 2:1 And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband’s, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz. 2 And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.
Access is granted because of need: John 4, Luke 7:9
NIV John 4:4 Now he had to go through Samaria.
NIV Luke 7:3 The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. 4 When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, 5 “This man deserves to have you do this, because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” 6 So Jesus went with them.
Access is granted by curiosity:
Acts 17:16-21
Acts 17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry. 17Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him. 18Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection. 19And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is?
Access is granted by favor:
Esther 4:16
Esther 4:16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
Access is granted by divine intervention: Revelation 3:9
KJV Revelation 3:9 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
Access is granted by reference.
Moses Avila
KJV John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
You need a reference when your resume is not that good. You need a reference when you are a stranger or unknown. You need a reference when you need stronger credibility. My resume is not that strong in heaven, nor my credibility, nor my history, but I have a reference the blood and his name is Jesus.
