I’m Cancelling My Order
(Acts 6:1-8)
(Acts 6:1-8)
Come Before His Presence with Singing (our worship response)
It’s hard to stay sad when you are singing. It’s possible but rare!
Isaiah 61:3 (NKJV)-To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
.
Know that the Lord is God (our confession of His Lordship)
Confessing His Lordship, His Place as Lord in our lives and in the world!
To know, but sometimes, modified “to make known” declaring that He is God can make you respond in gladness!
It is He who has made Us and NOT we Ourselves (our humble recognition as His creation)
Serving in HUMILITY – If we fully embrace this truth, it will keep us from thinking more highly of ourselves.
Many of us have no problem serving God if we feel like it is linear, directly from him and what we prefer to do. But the challenge comes in serving one another.
Galatians 5:13 (NKJV)
13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Remember WHATEVER we do it is done as unto the Lord, So we cannot begrudgingly serve each other, and consider it as serving the Lord with GLADNESS! It’s not serving the Lord with Joy when we come into the house trying to figure out how can we get out of the here the fastest! I love efficiency, but GOD loves obedience and sacrifice!
It is He who gave us the gift to serve, not we! It is He who provided the opportunity to serve, not me! In other words, we are NOT irreplaceable!
We are HIS people and the sheep of His pasture (our confident continuation as His protected people)
God’s people are HIS people, they don’t belong to a person, they belong to the LORD! WE are HIS PEOPLE! And the sheep of HIS Pasture!
We have God’s protection!
Often we are concerned about being hurt while serving, because it happened last time. But no weapon formed against you will prosper! It won’t work you are protected!
