When Men Win
(John 1:6-7)
(John 1:6-7)
Case Study: The woman at the well
As we journey through life, God offers us moments that can and will radically alter our future and change the trajectory of our lives. While we may not immediately recognize these destiny moments when they appear, if we are willing to do the work, we will find ourselves equipped for more than we thought our lives could ever be.
How many of us go about our lives and aren’t aware of what God has on his agenda for the day? To be sensitized to and be ready to identify those destiny moments, we need to work through some things.
.
.
There was opposition between the Jews and the Samaritans because of the Samaritans refusal to worship at Jerusalem. If you let him, God will move you beyond your cultural limitation. In essence Jesus was saying to the woman you are coming to the well for water, but I am trying to put ‘living water’ inside of you.
.
She was experiencing relational failures. Just because you’ve had personal failure doesn’t mean God is through with you. The question is not whether you failed but instead if you are willing to work through the failure.
.
“God will remove shame and the pain of personal failure.” – Pastor Billy Johnson
.
Finally, the woman had her Destiny Moments in verses 25 and 26. In those destiny moments, God always provides real answers.
God will provide the answers through His word. Remember when we read the Word of God, the Word of God will in turn read us.
When we allow God to work on us through our personal failures no one can shame us anymore. He removes our shame. (John 4:39-42)
.
“God will meet you at your place of honesty…The Lord is never bothered by our questions.” – Pastor Billy Johnson
.
Closing Word: God is getting ready to allow us to have some destiny moments. We are getting ready to enter seasons where we will experience more and more destiny moments.
