Return to the Vision
(Habakkuk 2:2-4)
(Habakkuk 2:2-4)
Right now we are experiencing the great distraction, caused by the pandemic. It is now time to get back to focusing, and get back to your assignment. We must now return to the vision.
“God is not a God of happenstance, but He is intentional…” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson.
In the scripture (Habakkuk 1:2) forces us to ask the question why:
We are tempted to ask the question – why is this happening, and God why aren’t you doing something about it?
“God can use your enemies to straighten you out or bless you.” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson.
In the scripture and through prayer, when God is asked why He does not give an answer but rather a vision – a clear challenging picture of the future.
Take time to write it into words, describe it, use detail, record it so that it is not dependent upon your memory. Write it down according to the various aspects of your life (financial, mental, professional, relationships, etc.)
“Writing the vision brings clarity.” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson.
.
Recite it out loud.
“Reading brings understanding.” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson.
.
Running gives movement. Run hastily.
“Running gives movement…Many times we are trapped in stagnation because we refuse to take the first steps.” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson.
.
There is an appointed time promised by God. That opportunity has a time and a season. Wait on the season, stick to it, be persistent, and continue to do what God said to do.
“Waiting on it brings patient expectation.” – Pastor Billy Johnson
.
(Habakkuk 3:17)
In closing, the vision can turn your prayers into a praise. Taking these steps with the vision, we can move individually and collectively to accomplish the will of God. And even when all else fails, rejoice in the Lord.
