Searching For Lost Things
(Luke 15:1-7)
(Luke 15:1-7)
1Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. 2 And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man [a]receives sinners and eats with them.” 3 So He spoke this parable to them, saying:
4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ 7 I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine [b]just persons who need no repentance.
The world has questions and Jesus has the real answers.
The heart of God: 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward [c]us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
God loves everybody everywhere. He does not discriminate.

There are various types of people. Jesus’ parables on lost things deal with:
The sheep – people outside the house (church)
The coin – the lost people inside the house (church)
The son – the people that’s left the house (church) & should be welcomed back

.
The sheep – the shepherd left the flock to find the one that was lost. No matter what it took
The coin – represented what we look at as an engagement ring
The son – The younger son was received back because he was still the father’s son.
“We have to let people know that they are valuable.” – Pastor Billy Johnson

Are we seeing people who are lost
Do we have a heart for the lost
People are hungry for Jesus more today than ever.

Every day we are on a mission for God.
