“What I have is not who I am.” – Min. Darrell Whitehead
Have your circumstances challenged your praise?
Praising God Is Neither On Demand Or In Denial
- You can’t just praise at the demand of someone else
- Praise will come from your own experience
- God can welcome our worship no matter how it comes (weeping, shouting, etc.)
“In sincere worship God accepts weeping as much as shouting.” – Min. Darrell Whitehead
Praising God Is Not About Your Place but About His Presence
- God is a tabernacle God!
- Wherever you go, God will go with you
- Your praise is not predicated on your place
“Your praise is acknowledging that God tabernacles with you.” – Min. Darrell Whitehead
Praise Him When You Remember His Mercy
- Even when you don’t feel like you have a reason to give thanks, you have a reason to give thanks (Ps. 136:1-4)
- Recall how the Lord has forgiven you
