How to Live in the Until
(James 5:1-12 (ESV))
(James 5:1-12 (ESV))
In this passage of scripture, James outlines how to live “until” Jesus comes.
.
Tell What Is Going to Happen (vv. 1-3)
James explains that judgment is coming to the ungodly rich who will weep and wail because of the hardship that awaits them. Having money, power, and position are not reasons to mistreat people.
.
Tell Why It Is Happening (vv.4-6)
The judgment is coming because of what has been done by exploiting people, indulging themselves, and oppressing the righteous. However, God is paying attention to the evil that is being done.

Shows How to Respond (vv. 7-12)
Our response is to wait patiently by being even-tempered while enduring trying circumstances and allowing God to provide the answers that He wants to bring about a permanent fix. To wait patiently we must establish our hearts, stop grumbling, remain steadfast, and maintain our integrity. This builds a life of stability and accountability.
