It Will Be Better Than You Think

9The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.’ ”

9The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. And in this place I will bring peace. I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”
THREE THINGS WE MUST DO
BE STRONG — v. 4
Haggai 2:4 (ESV)
4Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, declares the Lord. Be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land, declares the Lord. Work, for I am with you, declares the Lord of hosts,
Be strong beyond expectation.

WORK — v. 4

FEAR NOT — v. 5

5according to the covenant that I made with you when you came out of Egypt. My Spirit remains in your midst. Fear not.

THREE THINGS GOD WANTS US TO KNOW
I AM WITH YOU — v. 4

4Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, declares the Lord. Be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land, declares the Lord. Work, for I am with you, declares the Lord of hosts,
God is partnering with you, causing things to happen.
You have favor on your life simply because of God’s favor on you.
I MADE A COVENANT WITH YOU — v. 5
5according to the covenant that I made with you when you came out of Egypt. My Spirit remains in your midst. Fear not.

MY SPIRIT REMAINS IN YOUR MIDST — v. 5
5according to the covenant that I made with you when you came out of Egypt. My Spirit remains in your midst. Fear not.
Your project is connected to a promise. The promise may have been made to an ancestor and you the result of that promise.

God’s breath, wind and power will remain with you.
THREE THINGS GOD WILL DO
I WILL SHAKE — vv. 6–7
Haggai 2:6-7 (ESV)
6For thus says the Lord of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land.
7And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts.
God will disrupt stability.
Just because everything is shaking around you, you do not have to shake inside.

I WILL FILL THIS HOUSE WITH GLORY — vv. 7–9

7And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts.
8The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts.
9The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.’ ”
God will make full sufficiency.
I will fill this house with weight, honor, fullness and manifest presence.

I WILL GIVE PEACE — v. 9

God will give wholeness, harmony, prosperity and success.
