Experiencing the Presence of Joy

Joy looks and sounds different to many of us. Think of a joyful experience; An experience that brought you extreme joy.  Those are moments we need to recognize that God is with us.

As joy shows itself in different ways we must remember:

Joy in the Moments

(Luke 1:39, John 4:24-25)

 In the scripture Mary is ready to bring forth our Lord as Jesus Christ. Mary visits Elizabeth and when Mary greets her the baby leaps in her womb. Elizabeth recognizes that the baby heard Mary’s voice and leaped, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.  There is no joy without the Holy Spirit.

We must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Joy in the Memories

(John 4: 28-30, John 21: 3)

 God sees all that is happening in our lives.  We matter to God.  When God shows up, those moments will cause us to bring others to Christ.  How will you respond when God shows up in your environment, your life, your circumstances?

Joy in the Moves

(Philippians 4:4)

You will have trials/tribulations but must keep your joy as you go through them.

Joy in What Matters to God

(Hebrews 12: 2)

God shows up to prepare us for what God will do next in our lives.  There is joy in watching your own life transform.
