Don’t Lose Your Hope
(Romans 15:13)
(Romans 15:13)
You can lose a lot of things but don’t lose your hope. In Romans 15:13, Paul is praying, “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Hope is to look forward with confidence to that which is good and beneficial. It is the ability to look beyond your now and get a snapshot of your future. It provides a level of confidence and favorable expectation.
God is the provider of hope. If you serve the Lord, you serve a hopeful God. He is not a pessimist. He has a way of providing hope just when you need it in the midst of whatever you are dealing with.
.
HOW DOES GOD PROVIDE US HOPE?
Through His Word (Romans 15:4)
When God speaks through His Word, it is His way of providing hope. When you’re feeling down, pick up the Bible and just start reading — His Word can give you hope.
Through His Works (Psalm 78:4-7)
Tell your story. Tell how God has worked in your life, and how He has walked with you and navigated the issues of your life. There are some things in our lives that we have no explanation for — it was only God. Ask God to open your eyes to the hope that He wants to bring. Proof of God’s hope is joy and peace. He is able to cram joy and peace in our hearts. If joy and peace are missing, go to God and ask for hope.

Also, check what you have been saying out of your mouth. Go to God and repent of the words you have been saying and ask for His forgiveness for declaring death over the very place where you need life. We have to live in the words that we speak.
.
Through His Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13)
God wants us to abound in hope. He wants our hope to be in excess – considerably more than what is expected. But we must cooperate with the Holy Spirit. Any achievement that God is accomplishing in our lives is achieved by the power of the Holy Spirit. Ask for God’s power in our situations.
