WHAT ARE THE TOOLS GOD IS USING TO HELP US GROW?

God Uses the Tool of HIS WORD To Grow Us. (2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12)
- God’s Word is presently alive.
- God’s Word will make us an agent of change for others.
- The Word of God delivers.
- The Word of God keeps us from sin.
- The Word of God gives life.
- The Word of God is settled.
“Whenever you and I are reading the Bible, the Bible is reading us…the Bible is the only book that when we are reading, the author is present.” – Dr. D’Ann V. Johnson
We must put the Bible into practice!

God Uses the Tool of PEOPLE To Grow Us. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
- Consider one another; observe fully and understand.
- God will use people who we don’t want to help us grow.
- You can exhort one another (Colossians 3:16)

“Growth stops when we lose the tension between where we are and where we used to be. – Bishop La Fayette Scales
Don’t get comfortable just because you’ve made a little progress.

You need to discern who sitting at your table is there to help you grow.

God Uses the Tool of CIRCUMSTANCES To Grow Us (Psalm 119:67; 71)
- Your circumstances can become a rod of correction.
“Sometimes God needs to say, “Sit down, let’s pray…” – Dr. D’Ann V. Johnson
Affliction gives us strength to become what has been promised. (Exodus 1:11a)
Affliction will help us understand the sovereign power of God. (Job 31:35; 42:5)
Affliction helps us to pray. (James 5:13a)
Affliction triggers the deliverance of God (Psalm 39:19)
USE THE TOOLS AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO GROW!
