Keys to Being Refreshed
(Isaiah 55:1-6)
(Isaiah 55:1-6)
In the scripture of Isaiah 55:1 there is a call for those who thirst to come, for those with no money to buy. The question is also raised of why we spend money for what does not satisfy? There is a God-shaped void in many and God is saying He has something for you to fill that void.
.
In the scripture the Lord is not asking us to simply come and show up, but to incline our ear to hear. To hear and your soul shall live. To hear means to listen with the intent to do…not just to gather information.
“Hearing gives clarity and removes confusion.” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson.
Additionally, Colossians 1:9-10 shows we need to hear in order to be filled with the knowledge of His will.
.
“We are walking around operating in our own strength and wisdom instead of relying on God.” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson.
The scripture infers there is going to be a time when you seek the Lord and He may not be found. The scripture indicates to seek the Lord while He may be found. We should be actively search for God. For seek means to inquire, investigate, and learn new information. Seek God on how to handle situations. Jeremiah 33:3 says to call Me and I will show you great and mighty things.
“Have you sought the Lord on how to handle certain situations?” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson.
.
Forsake means to neglect.
Let the wicked forsake and return to the Lord to allow Him to move in situations that you cannot fix.
“You were not meant to live your life separate and apart from God.” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson.
