Be Like Jesus
(John 13:1-17)
(John 13:1-17)
Many years ago, lots of people wore bracelets, t-shirts, etc. that had WWJD (What Would Jesus Do). Many people got on board because it was a “fad” but today What Would Jesus Do is still relevant.
There is an essence of trust in what Jesus can do.
So, let’s bring life back to WWJD. Who can better teach us about having a servant’s heart than Jesus?
Jesus is our model on how to serve.
“When you see a life changed, that is a miracle.” – Elder Michelle Jackson
What can we learn?
.
Jesus loved those who were helping in His crucifixion even to the end.
“When we take care of God’s business, He will take care of ours.” – Elder Michelle Jackson
“We have to get up and reposition to serve people.” – Elder Michelle Jackson
.
Jesus got up (repositioned himself) to wash the feet of others
“Jesus had to humble himself to look like us.” – Elder Michelle Jackson
We need to show compassion to all people.
Serve without partiality.
.
If there is a teacher, there is also a learner (vv 14-15)
Once we recognize Jesus as the teacher, we also become a student.
I do, we do, you do. Jesus will show you how to DO
“It’s one thing to know what you should do, it’s another thing to do it.” – Elder Michelle Jackson
