How to Know the Will of God
(Colossians 1:9)
(Colossians 1:9)
“One of the greatest things you can do for somebody is to pray for them.” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson
Although it may be our least utilized resource, when we pray, we are inviting the creator to use His power to intervene on our behalf. The question then becomes not are we praying but what are we praying. In the scripture (Colossians 1:9) the what is that you may be filled with the knowledge of the will of God. The word fill meaning to cram, or level up – a hollow place needing to be filled in.
According to (Ephesians 5:17) we are admonished to be wise and understand what the will of God is. We must become so intimately acquainted with His will that we are not moved by worldly things.

How Can I Know the Will of God?
.
Through the Word of God (Romans 12:2)
Do not allow the world to conform you but allow the word of God to transform your mind. Use the word of God as a filter, to know what God wants, and let the word change the way we think.
.
Through Prayer (Matthew 6:9-10)
“As you pray, God will reveal to you what you need to do.” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson.
Through prayer you will begin seeing the alignment in your with God’s will.
.
Through the Leading of the Holy Spirit (Acts 13:2-3, Acts 16:6, Acts 19:1-2,5,10)
Allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us, we become aware of when the Holy Spirit is permitting us to go forward or pushing us another way. Allowing the Holy Spirit to lead will promote timing of God’s will and lead us to be in concert with God’s will.
