The Significance of the 2nd Half
(Joshua 14:6-14)

“What plan can I put in place to ensure success.” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson
We can liken our life to how the NFL is played. There are two halves with half-time in between. The 1st half is critical. How you start weighs heavily on how you finish.
In the scripture of Joshua 14:6-14 Caleb was sent by Moses to spy out the land. Ten of the twelve spies gave a negative report, and therefore the people did not want to go into the promised land. However, Caleb thought differently, he thought – we could do it!
.
What will cause our 2nd half to be significant?
Caleb remembered the word over his life (Joshua 14:6)
At times, life will hit us causing us to lose sight of what God has said over our lives. We begin to live as if God never made a promise to us. Caleb encouraged the people to possess the land.
“Because something has not happened yet, we think it will never happen.” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson
.
You must be willing to War over the Word (Joshua 14:11)
The devil will do anything to oppose the plans of God. There must be a willingness to war over the word on your life. You must believe there is more you have not obtained and God has not yet brought it to pass.
“I can not let my mind go to an area of defeat and not come into agreement with God.” – Pastor Billy R. Johnson
Caleb wholly followed the Lord. He was all in and was blessed by Joshua. Sometimes the enemy is more committed to our defeat than we are to our victory. Some of us have been tainted by the tase of defeat.
“Lord let us begin to taste the victory.” – Billy R. Johnson.
