The Way, The Truth, and The Life
(John 14:1-6)
(John 14:1-6)
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many [a]mansions; if it were not so, [b]I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
No Exceptions!
“The fruitfulness and fulfillment of Jesus’ life was rooted in him living from the place of absolutes.” – Pastor Roy Barrett
Jesus had a total understanding of God and what he was to do on earth.
We look for ways to get out of what God wants us to do.
We must accept the conditions that Jesus laid out for our lives.
Jesus statement, I am the way the truth and the life, was because he knew that we, as humans, would try to create our own way. We are trying to make our own way, create our own truth and make up our own life.
In God there are no exceptions!
“It’s about you and I living based upon who He said He is not who we want Him to be…We have reduced God down to our level of comfort and convenience.” – Pastor Roy Barrett
“Our submission to God isn’t based on our understanding of God. It’s based upon our love for God.” – Pastor Roy Barrett
God will excuse you from not understanding Him, be He will not excuse you from not trusting and obeying Him.
“Can you hear truth, or can you just hear a good message?” – Pastor Roy Barrett
“Many live by assumptions about God but few live by activation in God.” – Pastor Roy Barrett
