THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE LIFE OF THE BELIEVER

¹³ When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. ¹⁴ He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. (ESV)

He Will Guide You Into All Truth – Verse 13a

He is going to lead, direct, and instruct us. He will make sure we reach the destination that He has set forth for us. Sometimes we run before we get instructions. Nothing is worse than getting there and not knowing what to do. The Holy Ghost is intelligent. He can guide you into all truth.

If we remember the Eunuch from Acts trying to understand the scriptures. And when asked if he understood, he said, “How can I understand unless someone guides me.”

He Will Show You Things To Come- Verse, 13b

He will provide information of critical detail. He will show you things to come so you can stand strong in the face of adversity. He will prepare you for something challenging and prepare your heart. He will prepare you to make a positive decision on what to do in your life.

He Will Glorify Jesus Through Us– Verse 14

The Holy Spirit, living in us, never runs a private agenda.He only serves what is coming from Jesus Christ. God gives instructions to Jesus. You should never sit down on your gift. We acknowledge what God has put inside of us and we give Him glory, honor and praise. The Holy Spirit works and lives in us and gives us the opportunity to give God honor.
