Faith Through The Trials
(James 1:1-12)
(James 1:1-12)
We learned previously that faith without works is dead. And that a dead faith is worse than no faith. Our faith must produce and it must be visible.
As we go through life, and face the many trials and temptations, we need a surefire way to conquer these trials.
In the worst trials of our life, how could joy be the solution? In James 1:2, we are told to “count it all joy”, or in other words, have the right attitude. Well the answer is that we must know something. That is, when you are going through your various trials, God is waiting on you to ask Him something. In James 1:5, we see that we should ask God for wisdom.
“Without the right attitude, you will miss out on so much that God has for you.” – Elder Ronald Ray
Oftentimes we go through the trials of life, but we are doubting the entire time. In verse 6, we see the text tells us to ask and not doubt.
“You’ve already said, if God doesn’t answer, I’ll do this… It’s an insult to God.” – Elder Ron Ray
vs 12) Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
