The People You Need For Transformation
(Romans 8:29)
(Romans 8:29)
Romans 8:29 – God is constantly conforming us to His image. God uses people to help with this transformation. The question is, what kind of people do we need for our transformation?

Reducers
These people minimize people. They have a way of diminishing people.
Restrainers
These are those that want to stop and limit what you are trying to accomplish. Remember when Nehemiah had a heart to rebuild the temple, but Sandballot, Tobiah, and Geshem were fixated on stoping the process. (Nehemiah 2:19)
Reflectors
These are people who hold a mirror up to help us see ourselves. A biblical example of this is Nathan, (II Samuel 12:7) who helped David see himself and his sin (sleeping with another man’s wife and murder).
Refiners
These are people who help polish what we already have. In Acts 18:24-26, we see Aquilla and Priscilla refine a Jew named Apollos who was already instructed in the way of the Lord, was fervent in spirit, and he spoke and taught diligently. Yet they essentially said “You can be better!”
Refreshers
These are people who make you feel better, replenished after being in their presence. These people will refresh you when you are on your mountaintops and in your valleys.
Restorers
In Galatians 6:1, we see that those who are spiritual should restore those who are overtaken in a fault.
What does it mean to be spiritual?
In 1 Corinthians 3:1, we see that those who are spiritual are those that are eating and living from the meat of God’s word. Spiritual people are those that aren’t caught up in the foolishness of the flesh.
