What You Do For Them, You Do For Him
(Matthew 25:40; 45)
(Matthew 25:40; 45)
When we look at Matthew 25:40, Jesus is dealing with the judgment of the nations and says “what you do for them—you do for Me.”
Jesus is not coming as the carpenter—He is coming as the King of
Kings and Lord of Lords. As King he has the right and the authority to judge and He is righteous.
He’s separating the sheep from the goats. The King is separating—the sheep from the goats. The sheep are on the right hand and the goats are on the left hand. The right hand is the hand of blessing and the left hand is the hand of cursing.
“You want to be on the right hand of blessing.” —Pastor Billy Johnson
The sector of favor is extended to those on the right hand. He’s saying,“inherit the kingdom—I need you to take what is yours.” There’s going to be a pronouncement on the sheep and the goats. There is going to be a preparation for the sheep and the goats. There is a measurement going on all the time and you are the one determining whether or not you will inherit the kingdom.
“A place was prepared before you were thought of as a person.” —Pastor Billy Johnson
He will say to the people on the left—“depart from Me and you are cursed into everlasting fire.” Hell was never prepared for man but for the devil and his angels. The world is training us to be preoccupied with self and not to care about anyone else.
“Who is “them” that God has placed in your pathway?”—Pastor Billy Johnson
“Part of your spiritual growth is when you reach out to people.”—Pastor Billy Johnson
