Dealing With Difficult Circumstances in Life
(Psalms 42:5)
(Psalms 42:5)
No one wants to face difficulties in life. If we could live life without difficulties, we definitely would. Unfortunately, no one is immune to difficulties in life. So then, what do we do when we face difficulties in life?
In this passage, King David is on the run from his son Absalom, who wants to kill him. In verse 5, David asks himself why is he cast down. But then David turns his focus to God. And in that, we discover 3 things we can do during difficult times.
In verses 6-8, David stops and remembers that God, the creator of the heavens and the earth, is in control.
In verse 5, David reminds himself to hope in God. For the world, hope is uncertain. But for the Christian, our hope is certain.
In verse 5, we see that because of our hope in God, our praise for God should follow.
