When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 1 Corinthians 13:11
Three things that characterize adults and children:
Note that the speaking, understanding and thinking of a man and a child are different.
Thought – the logical process of developing an opinion, to reason, to get to a place where I’m making an estimate of something based upon what I know
“A child’s information base is very limited.” – Pastor Billy Johnson
At some point there needs to be a transition from childhood to manhood. At that point a transition of speaking, understanding and thinking takes place.
“To be a man and to speak well of men doesn’t mean you have to speak ill of women.” – Pastor Billy Johnson
