God-Ordered Steps
(Psalms 37:23-24; Jeremiah 29:11)
(Psalms 37:23-24; Jeremiah 29:11)
Psalms 37:23-24 (KJV) – The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.
Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) – For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Many of us like to begin each year with a short-term and long-term goals. We sometimes call these our vision board.
“God’s hand is at work in your life.” – David Emerson
Proverbs 16:9 (KJV) – A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
God orders our steps for our safety and protection. God knows what we need before we need it. This is why we are able to avoid unnecessary problems, chaos, and confusion. It also keeps us from destruction. In Proverbs 12, the bible says that, “a fool’s ways seem right in his own eyes,” but the truth is that it ultimately leads to destruction.
“You can’t live your best life without God in your life.” – David Emerson
Sometimes we become complacent and discouraged in life because of disappointments and unmet expectations.
Galatians 6:9-10 – And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith
