Trusting God
(Proverbs 3:5-6)
(Proverbs 3:5-6)
Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Trust – firmly believe in the reliability of truth.
What does it mean to trust God?
In Psalms 37:3, we see that the text says, “Trust in the Lord and do good. Dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness toward us.” Trusting God requires us to feed on His faithfulness.
“He commands us to trust Him.” – Minister Betty Evans
In order to trust Him, we have to know Him. God commands His people to trust Him, so that He can order your footsteps. And as we put our trust in the Lord, He sustains and supports us. In Acts 17:28, the text says, “In Him we live, move, and have our being.”
We must believe that God is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Psalms 25:4 – lead me in thy path and teach me, for thou art the God of my salvation and in Thee do I put my trust.
“Every question we may have is wrapped up in His word.” – Minister Betty Evans
God is god all by Himself. He stands alone. There is none equal to Him. It is our duty to trust in Him, as He is incapable of failing.
