God is Good
(Psalms 145:9; Psalms 34:8)
(Psalms 145:9; Psalms 34:8)
Psalm 145:9, 9 The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.
Psalm 34:8, 8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
So often we get confused as to where our blessings come from. We think that it was our own acumen that got us the job. No, it was God’s goodness. God is trying to let us know in His word that He is good. God is the one that does things for us, but we get it twisted and say, “but I”. God has to be personal and endearing in our own lives.
“God is rescuing us from our terribly foolish situations, yet when He comes for our rescue, we fight against and blame Him for the situation.” – Pastor Juan Jones
We as Christians must be aware (recognize) that God is good, reflect that knowledge, and to call it out.
“Even God’s anger is a reflection of His Goodness.” – Pastor Juan Jones
God didn’t have to do what He’s done.
“We often lose sight of what He’s done, because we are grasping for what He will do.” – Pastor Juan Jones
The Lord is good in all of His ways.
Our God is inspired by praise. God doesn’t need anything we have. If we never praise Him, He’ll cause the rocks to cry out. We act like we are doing God a favor by coming to church. We are doing ourselves a favor. Worship positions us to experience God.
When we are walking by faith we know that all things work together for our good. Are we only to give Him thanks when we feel good? We too often judge Him by a singular moment. Some people pulled themselves up by their own bootstraps. Your bootstraps are not that strong.
One of the things that God hates is a proud look. We as a people must be mesmerized by His presence. Don’t let your pursuit overrun your desire for God. Everybody has something to thank God for.
2 Chronicles 5:13, 13 indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever, ”that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud,
“If you are going through something get in your bedroom or your closet.” – Pastor Juan Jones
We can come boldly to the throne. God never bows Himself to anyone. Worship puts you into a position of access to the realm of heaven. The bible says, “Make a joyful noise.”
In Psalms 27-13:14, David says, “I would have lost heart (given up, fallen into a pit of depression) unless I had believed I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” When discouragement sets in, we lose hope. But we have a living hope!

Say to the devil, “linger you may, but die you must.” – Pastor Juan Jones
We need to understand who we are in God. Zachariah 8:13 (NLT) – We need to be examples of God’s blessing. We must avail ourselves to be used in any place. Not just in the church, but we should be blessings to people EVERYWHERE. Be a blessing dealer and everywhere you go be a blessing to someone.
When you look in the dictionary and look up ‘blessing’—your face is there.”- Pastor Juan Jones
“We are demonstrating in our generation what God looks like.” – Pastor Juan Jones
