A Committed Servant

In Luke 11:1-13, we see the Lord’s Prayer that is a creed to living a Godly life.

1. Jesus Prayed

   • The prayers recorded in the bible are amazing gifts from God.  They are a record of how the great leaders throughout history communicated with God.
   • “Our Father….”, the first word brought us into a family. You have to be a part of the family to say “Our Father”.
   • As Christians, we are required to pray.

2. Jesus Modeled Prayer

   • Forgive us for our sin – Forgiveness has to be part of your prayer life.
   • Forgive those that offend you – Because God has forgiven us, we must forgive others.
   • We must ask God to deliver us from the evil one.

3. Man’s Responsibility In Prayer

   • According to Luke 11:6-7, we see that we must be persistent in asking.
   • In Luke 11:9 we see that we must also continue to seek God, despite any difficulties.
   • Continue to knock on the door until it opens.

4. God’s Part In Prayer

   • God desires to hear the prayers of His people and He is faithful and just to answer them.
