In Luke 11:1-13, we see the Lord’s Prayer that is a creed to living a Godly life.
-
Jesus Prayed
- The prayers recorded in the bible are amazing gifts from God. They are a record of how the great leaders throughout history communicated with God.
- “Our Father….”, the first word brought us into a family. You have to be a part of the family to say “Our Father”.
- As Christians, we are required to pray.
-
Jesus Modeled Prayer
- Forgive us for our sin – Forgiveness has to be part of your prayer life.
- Forgive those that offend you – Because God has forgiven us, we must forgive others.
- We must ask God to deliver us from the evil one.
-
Man’s Responsibility In Prayer
- According to Luke 11:6-7, we see that we must be persistent in asking.
- In Luke 11:9 we see that we must also continue to seek God, despite any difficulties.
- Continue to knock on the door until it opens.
-
God’s Part In Prayer
- God desires to hear the prayers of His people and He is faithful and just to answer them.
